Whatever stage your idea is at, we can help you submit a business plan with the potential to win £20k investment through a robust programme of training activities and mentoring support.
Now in its ninth year, The Chris Abell Postdoc Business Plan Competition, run by Cambridge Enterprise and the Entrepreneurial Postdocs of Cambridge, has become a key annual programme in the supporting the Cambridge entrepreneurial ecosystem helping to accelerate the creation of businesses. The competition has led 73 teams including Nu Quantum, Porotech, Semarion and Xampla and “these 73 teams have gone on to raise over £69 million in investment”, The Economic Impact of the University of Cambridge.
Not just a pitching competition, it features a robust programme of activities designed to help accelerate the creation of businesses from University research.
Whether you are already in the process of spinning out a company or you are just starting out on your journey, our new workshop Venture Building 101 will give you a brilliant introduction and helpful tools to assist in the process of starting a company or social venture. We can support your journey by helping you develop your idea through business modelling workshops, providing guidance on writing your first business plan through to presentation skills and pitch coaching, with access to mentors and Cambridge Enterprise staff throughout the process.
