Richard Palmer

Enterprise Education Lead

Richard is the Enterprise Education Lead in the Entrepreneurship & Ecosystems team.

His focus is to bridge gaps and unify the university’s enterprise and entrepreneurship education programming, supporting students and researchers from any college or department to develop the skills, mindset and confidence to turn their ideas into impact.

Prior to Cambridge, Richard supported student founders in a similar role at the University of Edinburgh, he was an early employee at a carbon accounting startup modelling the emissions of beer and brewery operations for automated reporting and worked as a business analyst for a large Canadian loyalty marketing firm.

He holds an MSc in Artificial Intelligence from the University of Edinburgh – specialising in human-computer interaction and responsible AI, ethics, and governance, with a particular focus on cognitive offloading to AI and its impact on learning – and a BSc in Mathematics from the University of Birmingham.

Richard joined Cambridge Enterprise in July 2026.
