Our Seed Funds team is pleased to announce that they have been joined by Dr John Pritchard as Entrepreneur in Residence (Life Sciences) for Cambridge Enterprise. His role is to help founders develop their business proposition before pitching to the Seed Funds team.

John will be working with a variety of life science technologies, acting as a first point of contact for those hoping to start a company who need advice and support. His involvement at this early stage also means possible opportunities for continued backing and an association with the company in the future. John understands the importance of such a role, having been supported by an Entrepreneur in Residence himself when working as CEO for Akubio in 2003.IMG_0179_for web2

John has a wealth of knowledge in the field of diagnostics and devices, with over 30 years of experience in the market including advisory roles and board level experience. He has worked for companies both in Europe and in the USA, and has experience of managing technology start-ups, state-of-the-art operations, cross-functional teams, IP assets and organisational expansion projects to achieve competitive market advantages. He also spent four years on the MRC’s Developmental Pathway Funding Scheme panel and is a member of the Cambridge University Health Partners Innovation Hub panel.

If you’d like to have an informal chat about your idea, you can reach John at sf.admin@enterprise.cam.ac.uk. This is your opportunity to speak to someone who has been there and done that, so get in touch!
