Sam is a Translation Associate in the Life Sciences team at Cambridge Enterprise and in the Search and Evaluation team at Cancer Research Horizons.
Sam provides support for the evaluation of new technologies, protection of intellectual property, and development of commercial opportunities arising from research at the University of Cambridge, typically research funded by CRUK.
Prior to joining Cambridge Enterprise and Cancer Research Horizons, Sam worked at a London-based patent law firm, drafting and prosecuting patent applications in areas including cancer therapeutics, diagnostics, and gene editing technologies.
Sam has a broad academic background in the life sciences having previously completed a BBSRC funded PhD in Genetics and post-doctoral research position at the University of Cambridge, and a MSci in Molecular Genetics at King’s College London, where he was awarded the King’s Undergraduate Research Fellowship to work with TwinsUK.
Sam joined Cambridge Enterprise in January 2025.
