Annika is a Commercialisation Associate in the Life Sciences team, providing support for the evaluation of new technologies, protection of intellectual property and developing commercial opportunities arising from University research.
Prior to joining Cambridge Enterprise, Annika worked for several years as Development Editor at the Royal Society of Chemistry. Other roles include two years as a trainee Patent Attorney in Sweden and most recently as Medical Information Specialist at Thermo Fisher Scientific.
Annika has a PhD in Organic Chemistry from Lund University and has worked as a postdoctoral researcher at both the University of Gothenburg and Lund University. In Gothenburg she worked on the design, synthesis and biological evaluation of tetrasubstituted chromone derivatives as peptidomimetics and in Lund, she developed electrodes suitable for implantation in the brain.
Annika joined Cambridge Enterprise in September 2024.
