Hybridoma cell line producing IR 83-14 antibodies raised against the alpha subunit of the human insulin receptor, which are mouse monoclonal antibodies of the IgG2a isotype. Has been shown to cause >80% inhibition of insulin binding and has been used in immunoprecipiatation and blocking assays.
