Programmes & incubators

Do you have an innovative idea with its roots in your humanities, arts, or social science research?

Want to learn more about how to build or accelerate your project to make an impact?

Interested in meeting like-minded researchers and receiving tailored, practical support to propel your work beyond the research phase and to produce innovative products or services that are ready for adoption?

You might be developing new methods, interventions, tools, platforms or services which could create impact whether on a local or global scale.

We invite Expressions of Interest in the SHAPE (Social sciences, Humanities and Arts for People, planet and the Economy) Ideas Incubator, a support programme for researchers and their collaborators with an entrepreneurial and collaborative mindset and who are interested in exploring innovation routes to create societal impact.

This incubator is focused on testing and establishing new products and services which can deliver measurable and scalable social or environmental impact, underpinned by AHSS research evidence, practice, technologies, or expertise.

The programme

The programme takes a focused approach: a small cohort of researchers will attend five half-day sessions across February to April, culminating in a celebratory finale with informal pitching.

Alongside these regular cohort afternoons, we offer 1-1 mentoring and workshopping, networking opportunities, and optional deep dives into areas such as social enterprise legal structures, finance and theory of change.
