Do you think your research can provide a solution to a medical problem? Are you interested in translating your technology into patient benefit but have questions on patent filing, out-licensing, or company creation?

Experts from Cambridge Enterprise, Cancer Research UK, the Milner Therapeutics Institute and Apollo Therapeutics are here to help you understand the potential of your idea/technology and provide insights on how to develop it. The panel has substantial experience in academic–industry collaborations, Intellectual Property protection, product development and company creation and can advise on the support available from their respective companies and organisations, including training, funding and expanding your network.
Eligibility
This opportunity is offered to researchers (senior, junior, associates, postdocs, clinical and non-clinical) and PhD students of the University of Cambridge. Your research should have the potential to address current medical challenges and be applicable to models/methods, diagnostics, therapeutics, biomarkers, targets or devices, at any development stage.
Programme schedule
You will have 5 minutes to present your idea/technology and you will receive 15 minutes of dedicated time from the experts to address your 2 questions and provide any additional feedback.
Selection criteria
Accuracy and appropriateness of the information provided and translation potential of your research to deliver patient benefit will be the main selection criteria. The out-come will be emailed to you on 1st March, along with your time slot for presentation if you are selected.
Location
Milner Therapeutics Institute – Jeffrey Cheah Biomedical Centre, Cambridge Biomedical Campus. Please note the meeting will be moved online if necessary.
