Cambridge Enterprise and the Maxwell Centre are jointly hosting the University of Cambridge exhibit at AutoMobili-D 2019, within the North American International Auto Show in Detroit, 14-17 January 2019.

One of the largest auto tech gatherings, the 2019 Automobilli-D show at the Cobo Center in Detroit is an exceptional international showcase of the automotive eco system. With more than 200 automakers, suppliers, tech startups, universities and governments, the show demonstrates and debuts the wide range of innovative technologies surrounding future mobility and transportation.

Throughout the show, Cambridge Enterprise and the Maxwell Centre (booth UA05) will be showcasing the ongoing innovation and impact achieved within the University of Cambridge and the automotive sector. The team is also joined by one of the University’s spin-out portfolio companies, RoboK, which specialises in Simultaneous Localisation and Mapping (SLAM) algorithms for compact and low-power 3D sensing solutions. The company was founded in 2017 after the team won the King’s College Entrepreneurship Prize in Cambridge. With investments from Amadeus Capital Partners and Cambridge Enterprise to develop early-stage prototypes, the company has also established commercial partnerships with Siemens companies including Mentor Graphics and TASS International to develop a digital twin for autonomous driving solutions.

Over the next four days we look forward to learning more about the future of mobility and transportation, while showcasing the opportunities and innovation arising from the University of Cambridge.
