Cambridge University Technical Services Limited has no employees and uses the same infrastructure as Cambridge Enterprise Limited to deliver consultancy services on behalf of Cambridge Enterprise Limited. General personal information collected on our website

As a wholly owned subsidiary of the University of Cambridge, the Cambridge Enterprise website is hosted on the Managed Web Service with the University Information Service (UIS). The use of your personal information is necessary for the legitimate interests of Cambridge Enterprise in operating and improving its website, analysing its use, and ensuring its security.

When you visit the Cambridge Enterprise website domain we hold certain information about you for service and security reasons. We use a third party service, Google Analytics, to collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour patterns. Application Form for JobsCambridge Enterprise collects and processes personal data relating to job applicants in order to process your job application. Please see How we use your personal information – Job applicants for further information.

We use Teamtailor for handle recruitment. Teamtailor is a third-party service that is not owned or managed by Cambridge Enterprise. Please refer to the privacy policy on our careers site that refers specifically to Teamtailor privacy policy for further information.
Getting in touch/ scheduling a meeting/ contact form We offer ways of you getting in touch with us to explore whether we can collaborate with you. We use this personal information with your consent which you can withdraw at any time by emailing enquiries@enterprise.cam.ac.uk, with the subject header ‘Data Protection’.
Disclosure Forms (Consultancy, idea, invention, reagent, software & copyright) In order to provide the service of advising you on a commercialisation prospect, we collect personal data. At this stage we use this personal information with your consent which you can withdraw at any time by emailing enquiries@enterprise.cam.ac.uk, with the subject header ‘Data Protection’. Confidentiality Agreements (CDAs)When working with us to commercialise your research you will share confidential information and wish to put a confidentiality agreement in place. Available technologies enquiryWe welcome contact from companies who are interested in licensing available technologies from the University of Cambridge. We offer ways for companies to get in touch with us to explore licensing opportunities. We use this personal information with your consent which you can withdraw at any time by emailing enquiries@enterprise.cam.ac.uk, with the subject header ‘Data Protection’.
Subscription PreferencesWe collect information about you when you opt-in to receive communications from us in connection with topics you have selected, such as news and/or events. The information you provide will be used to send you these communications.
Your subscription preferences can be managed at any time.
All marketing email communications will incorporate a link enabling you to unsubscribe from receiving further communications. You can also contact us directly to request that you are removed from our mailing list.

Cambridge Enterprise Venture PartnersWe collect information from you when you make an enquiry, submit an application form or register to attend an event. The information you provide will be used to process and manage your application or event booking. We may also contact you to undertake post-event evaluation.

Event BookingWe collect information from you when you register to attend an event. The information you provide will be used to process and manage your event booking. We use Eventbrite for online registration. Eventbrite is a third-party service that is not owned or managed by Cambridge Enterprise. Please refer to Eventbrite’s terms of service and privacy policy as we do not accept any responsibility or liability for their policies.

Cambridge Enterprise will keep a record of the details you provided and additional details provided by you.

We will collect:

We do not collect your communications with third parties. We record, store and securely transmit your personal information in paper and electronic formats, in email and voice recording. We limit access to your personal information to your personal information to our employees and those at the University who have a need to know. They will only process your personal information on our instructions, and they are subject to a duty of confidentiality.

We may combine the information you submit with other information we have collected from you, whether online or offline, and on your usage of our website.

Transferring your information outside the United Kingdom or European Economic Area (EEA)

This will most likely occur when our third-party providers are based outside the EEA. Any such transfers are carried out with appropriate safeguards in place to ensure the confidentiality and security of your personal information.
