Licensing for the research community

Cell lines, antibodies, proteins, DNA constructs, small molecules and other research tools generated by scientists at the University of Cambridge play a key role in laboratory research. There is a wide range of research reagents available for commercial licensing through Cambridge Enterprise. The selection is constantly changing, so please contact us directly with your specific needs.

Non-exclusive licences with standard terms and conditions are available for available reagents.

We are currently seeing increased interest in our research reagents portfolio as biotech companies respond to the COVID-19 crisis. You can read our blog on this topic here.

BG4 anti-DNA/RNA G-quadruplex antibody is an engineered, structure-specific scFv probe that binds with high selectivity and low nanomolar affinity to DNA and RNA G-quadruplex structures as described in the following publications by Biffi, Antonio, Tannahill, McCafferty and Balasubramanian:

Nat. Chem. 5, 182–186 (2013)

Nat. Chem. 6, 75–80 (2014)

Angew. Chem. Int. Ed. Engl. 54, 910-913 (2015)

Nat. Genetics, 48,1267–1272 (2016)

The nucleic acid stabiliser molecules pyridostatin (PDS) and carboxy-pyridostatin described in the above and related papers are also available for licensing.
