Request a Confidential Disclosure Agreement

Using the online form

By answering a series of questions, you can generate a Cambridge Enterprise standard confidentiality agreement in draft form that you can share with the other party. We will review the draft confidentiality agreement and may get in touch to ask for further information or clarification. We will then send you and the other party a final version of the agreement for signature.

You can also use this form to request a confidentiality agreement to cover discussions with external parties about potential consultancy projects that you would like us to manage for you. However if you need a confidentiality agreement for any other purpose (e.g. to discuss a potential research project or broader relationship) then you may need to approach either your departmental administrator or the Research Office – if you are unsure please contact us before completing the form.

To complete the draft form online, you will need the following information to hand:

  • Details of all those from the University involved in the confidential discussions
  • The legal name and address of the external organisation and the name of the contact
  • A summary of the information you are going to disclose and receive (including your Cambridge Enterprise case number, patent numbers, any related Research Grant RG numbers where appropriate)
  • The date on which the exchange of information will begin
