Christian is leading the Marketing and Communications team in developing and implementing a strategic, integrated approach to serving Cambridge Enterprise’s customers and expanding its markets.
Christian’s focus is on better understanding the expectations of the University’s academics and researchers as the starting point for devising a more relevant and effective marketing mix. At the same time, Christian and the team are working constantly to showcase the world-class technologies and innovations available through Cambridge Enterprise, and to illustrate the wider benefits that commercialisation provides for society and the economy.
Christian has previously worked for a variety of consumer and business-facing organisations including Imperial War Museums, Rail Delivery Group, Avis and Prudential.
A graduate of the University of Southampton, Christian is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing and holds the Institute’s Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing.
Christian joined Cambridge Enterprise in 2017.
Catherine is responsible for Cambridge Enterprise’s press relations and the Annual Review.
She was a magazine reporter and editor in New York City for many years before relocating to Cambridge.
A graduate of Brown University, Catherine has an MA in print journalism from Columbia University.
Catherine joined Cambridge Enterprise in July 2016.
Ruth manages Cambridge Enterprise's brand and communications for both Cambridge Enterprise's University and external markets. She also leads on internal communications.
Ruth previously led the PR and marketing for light therapy specialist Lumie. She has also worked for technology consultancy Sagentia (when it was The Generics Group), and the University’s Institute for Manufacturing and Cambridge Judge Business School.
Ruth is a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations, a Member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) and holds the CIM Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing.
Ruth joined Cambridge Enterprise in August 2018.
Leading the marketing function of the team, Joanna is responsible for the strategic marketing and promotion of Cambridge Enterprise's services to both University and external audiences. She also leads on the marketing operations elements of the team, including technical functionality and processes.
Joanna manages a variety of projects and programmes focused on commercialisation of University innovations, knowledge and expertise for societal impact, raising awareness of our services and driving engagement with the University and the wider external community.
Prior to joining Cambridge Enterprise in 2004, Joanna worked in the financial services sector.
Joanna is a Chartered Marketer, a Member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing and a Member of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations.
Robert is focused on implementing the marketing strategy for Cambridge Enterprise's University market which includes all academics, researchers and students working for or studying at the University.
Previously Events Manager and then Research Marketing Manager within Cranfield School of Management at Cranfield University, Robert worked to promote student recruitment figures for the MBA, DBA and PhD programmes. He was also responsible for a portfolio of management masters courses.
Robert joined Cambridge Enterprise in January 2017.
Leila has 12 years of experience in varied roles providing high-level business support, primarily within the banking industry. Before joining Cambridge Enterprise, Leila was Business Support Manager/Executive Assistant to the Head of Banking at Private Bank, Coutts, in the City of London. Prior to this, she provided PA and Administrative support to a Senior Commercial Banker and looked after a portfolio of high net worth commercial clients within the media industry.
Leila joined Cambridge Enterprise in 2018, job-sharing the role of PA to the Technology Transfer team.
Laura provides administrative and project support to the Marketing and Communications team, as directed by the Communications Manager and in line with our mission, the business objectives and marketing plan.
Since working at Cambridge Enterprise, Laura has been involved in many projects including website redevelopment, coordinating events, as well as assisting with the coordination of activities and programmes within International Outreach. Now her focus is on supporting the marketing team, website updates and supporting the Professional Assistant Team.
Laura has worked in a variety of marketing and customer-facing roles, both within smaller institutions and the University of Cambridge. Her previous roles have given her the opportunity to assist at events in Europe and the USA.
Laura joined Cambridge Enterprise in 2012.
