International Relations and Outreach at Cambridge Enterprise:

Regarded as one of the best knowledge transfer operations in the world, Cambridge Enterprise is frequently asked to provide advice, training and support to governments, organisations and universities around the globe that wish to grow by commercialising their research and knowledge base.

Through its International Outreach Programme, Cambridge Enterprise offers international clients consultancy support, training courses and visit programmes both in Cambridge and in the client’s home country.

Since its inception in 2011 Cambridge Enterprise has helped academic and government partners in Brazil, Chile, China, Colombia, the Czech Republic, Finland, Kazakhstan, Mexico, Norway, Poland, Serbia, Southern Africa, Spain, Thailand and, Turkey. The role:

With the planned retirement of the current post-holder we are currently looking for a Head of International Relations and Outreach, to continue developing and implementing a strategic framework for our International Outreach Programme (IOP).  This role will host visiting delegations, identify, negotiate, manage projects, develop international connections, raise the profile of Cambridge Enterprise, and deliver projects both personally and using our highly experienced network – all with the overarching objective of sharing our knowledge and experience of academic commercialisation around the globe.

We are looking for an exceptional collaborator, networker, diplomat and communicator.  The post-holder will draw on their significant network within the City and University of Cambridge, their deep knowledge and understanding of the Cambridge Cluster and their familiarity with an entrepreneurial academic environment.  International travel is an essential part of the role.
